A fine 8x50mmR (Mannlicher) 'Bulgarian contract M1895' straight-pull service rifle by Steyr, no. 6744P In standard service configuration, excellent condition overall, fully-matching serial numbers, the stock stamped '404' with Bulgarian coat of arms, the bore internally clean and bright 30in. barrel, London nitro proof With an FGGY 'M1895' bayonet with metal scabbard Footnotes: The M1895 was the final major iteration of the straight-pull system. Approximately 3½ million were produced and constituted the main service rifle of the Austro-Hungarian army throughout the first World War. The M95 was produced in three main variations; A rifle, a Stutzen and a Carbine, although throughout the first World War, multiple revisions were made to swap and change patterns between one another for differing regimental uses.
