A 8x50mmR (Mannlicher) 'M1895' straight-pull service rifle by Steyr, no. 5962K In standard service configuration, reasonably good condition overall, fully-matching serial numbers, the bore internally just a shade dull throughout and with small patches of pitting in places 30in. barrel, recent London nitro reproof With an FGGY 'M1895' bayonet with metal scabbard Footnotes: The M1895 was the final major iteration of the straight-pull system. Approximately 3½ million were produced and constituted the main service rifle of the Austro-Hungarian army throughout the first World War. The M95 was produced in three main variations; A rifle, a Stutzen and a Carbine, although throughout the first World War, multiple revisions were made to swap and change patterns between one another for differing regimental uses.
