A West African Nigerian Benin cast bronze figure. The figure depicts an Edo warrior holding a leopard. The figure is engraved with detailed patterns, and openwork elements. The figurine of leopard is adorned with a raised swirl design. Mounted on a rectangular shaped base. The Benin Empire, 1440 to 1897, was a pre colonial African state in what is now modern Nigeria.
