1876 Broadside for "Paul Revere" Performance at Boston Museum

An 1876 broadside advertising a new play inspired by the life of Paul Revere. Measuring 8" x 24", Boston,  April 3, 1876. Printed by F.A. Seable, of Boston. The broadside has been matted and framed to the overall size of 14" x 30". With flattened folds, scattered soiling, and dampstaining along the bottom edge of the mat. There are some tears that appear to be repaired at the upper quarter of the broadside and some paper loss at the top edge.

The performance, entitled "Paul Revere" was created by the Grand Centennial Production and was a play in six parts. Written by J. S. Jones, M.D., the play includes numerous famous scenes from the Revolutionary War, including the Battles of Concord and Lexington, the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Siege of Boston, and the arrival of General Washington and the Continental Army.
