RARE 9X6 Vintage glossy photograph signed in black fountain pen ink, "George Seferis 4 Mieirs '64." A few light imperfections, otherwise excellent.(1900-1971) George Seferis (the pen name of Georgios Seferiades; was a Greek poet and diplomat. He was one of the most important Greek poets of the 20th century and a Nobel laureate in 1963. He was a career diplomat in the Greek Foreign Service, culminating in his appointment as Ambassador to the UK, a post which he held from 1957 to 1962.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
