RARE Vintage 6.25X4.25 original photograph signed in blue fountain pen ink, "With good wishes, Cecil, Sept 1967." A couple of light creases, otherwise excellent.(1864-1958) Edgar Algernon Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 1st Viscount Cecil of Chelwood known as Lord Robert Cecil from 1868 to 1923, was a British lawyer, politician, and diplomat. He was one of the architects of the League of Nations and a defender of it, whose service to the organization saw him awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1937.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
