Description
Southeastern Italy, Ca 4th century BCE. Fine and near-choice decorated pottery skyphos uncovered in a Daunian tomb in 1944 by Byron Farwell, and later (1953) published in a book on his collection. Bowl-shaped vessel with twin upward sweeping handles and low foot, decorated with reddish bands and zigzags inside and out. 7-3/8" W to handles.
