Condition
probably originally an armchair, with patches and spliced wood segments where armrests may have been originally- at both stiles and on both sides of seat frame; the right-facing stile also exhibiting a repaired break near the spliced segment; repaired breaks to stile / ear joints, and repaired break to shoe; slight split to one part of splat; minor roughness to ears; retains original / old support blocks; a couple knee returns (possibly front left-facing leg) possibly replaced; slip seat bears roman numeral III, but chair frame bears numeral I; upholstered in modern fabric
