Description
Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th Dynasty, ca. 664 to 525 BCE. A mold-formed faience ushabti standing in mummiform with fused legs, holding farming implements for agricultural work in the afterlife, and with several rows of hieroglyphs wrapping around the legs. The face presents with petite eyes, a prominent nose, and a petite chin, all beneath the lappets of the tripartite wig. Covered in beautiful blue glaze, this is a wonderful artifact from ancient Egypt! Size: 1.15" L x 1.75" W x 6.875" H (2.9 cm x 4.4 cm x 17.5 cm); 7.3" H (18.5 cm) on included custom stand.

Abrasions and small nicks to scattered areas, with softening to finer details and hieroglyphs, fading to glaze pigment, and light earthen deposits, otherwise intact and excellent. Great preservation to light blue glaze and figural form.
