8.25 h x 4.25 dia in (21 x 11 cm)

Vase features a nocturnal woodland scene. Impressed manufacturer's mark, date and number to underside 'Flame mark XXIX 614 E' with painted number 'X 7612' and incised artist's initials and glaze designation 'L.A. Y.G.'.

Catalog Note: In 1929, Lenore Asbury began producing a series of what we now term Late Standard Glaze or Yellow Glaze, where vessels were decorated like the original Standard Glaze line with shaded ground and floral or scenic motifs then covered in a yellow high glaze. We are pleased to offer two of these rare examples in this sale that illustrate Rookwood's technology of the 1920s coupled with Asbury's talent.

This work will ship from Chicago, Illinois.
