Europe, World War I period, ca. 1914 to 1918 CE. A fascinating piece of Trench Art: a copper crucifix made from shrapnel and bullets on an iron base. Trench art is the creation of art, souvenirs and tools out of discarded materials and the waste of war. Size: 4.8" W x 8.9" H (12.2 cm x 22.6 cm)

Condition
Some light bending, as well as nicks and abrasions in areas. Cross is slightly loose on stand. Otherwise, intact and excellent with good remaining detail and rich patina.
