Franz Boeck, Vienna, Austria, a large, Alt Deutsch style grand sonnerie striking Vienna regulator, transitional walnut and walnut veneered case with S curved bottom bracket, glazed door with fluted columns on turned, carved vasiform bases, the tops with corinthian capitals, the top with portico surmounted by an urn with carved laurel garlands, and the backboard with central, framed burl panel and enamel beat scale, signed roman numeral white enamel two piece dial with pierced, blued steel hands, 8 day, three train movement with dead beat escapement and striking Viennese quarters, three engraved, brass clad weights, and pendulum with ebonized rod and brass bob
Condition
case in an original finish and with original door glass, original pendulum bob with small dent, original ebonized rod, urn finial with broken tip, the detached piece included, enamel dial good with one faint hairline between nine and ten, original hands, movement will need to be restrung with new cord as they were shortened, weights with some damage to bottom edge and scattered dents, enamel beat scale good, ACCESSORIES: Pendulum, Three Brass Weights, Finial, Winding Crank, Door Key, circa 1900
