BALTIMORE, MARYLAND AND OTHER STERLING AND SILVER-TYPE ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a sterling card holder by The Schofield Co. of Baltimore, MD (active 1928-1967) having a pedestal-type base, an English weighted sterling shell-form stand, possibly for pens, with three slots by Sampson Mordan & Co. Ltd. having partially worn 1911 date mark, a German alpacca silver wax seal by Robert Kraft of Pforzheim (active c. 1900-1940) with engraved "G. Ed. B." to base, and an unmarked silver-type wax seal having antler handle with engraved "JS" initials and mount to top engraving of "J. Smith". Card holder with "STERLING" and maker's marks, shell-form stand impressed with maker's mark and three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, a Chester city mark, and a partially worn "L" date mark, alpacca silver wax seal marked, other seal unmarked. Antler wax seal late 19th/early 20th century, remainder first half/mid 20th century. Card holder 5 3/8" HOA.

Card holder with solder repairs to base, otherwise in good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, nicks, and a dent to edge of one end rim scallop; remainder in good to very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, one or a few dents, and slight worn spots to raised decoration; antler wax seal with a split to top edge of seal metal.
