Native American / First Nations, United States, Alaska & Canada, Inuit, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A pair of soapstone carvings of traditional Inuit people in parkas. One carved in the round, standing with a rope tied around a seal or other hunted animal. The other man is flattened and depicted crawling or climbing and the verso is inscribed with Inuktitut syllabics and an indiscernible disc number. Size: 3.5" L x 1.75" W x 5.5" H (8.9 cm x 4.4 cm x 14 cm)
