The figure depicts a young girl dressed in traditional Russian clothes, performing a traditional dance.
Produced at the Baranovka factory in the second half of the 20th century, the factory was based in the Zhytomyr region of the Ukrainian USSR and existed from the early 19th century. During the Russian Empire the factory was called The Mezer Porcelain Factory and produced a variety of wares and figurines for the Russian aristocracy.
