Description
Roman, Holyland, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. An elegant terracotta oinochoe featuring a tall, ovoid body leading to a tapered neck and a trefoil spout, connected to the rounded shoulder by a graceful, twisted handle. All is enveloped in a brilliant shade of russet and supported by a ring-form foot. Size: 5.6" Diameter x 10.6" H (14.2 cm x 26.9 cm)

Condition
Professionally repaired and restored, but all done very well and difficult to notice. Some nicks and abrasions to surface commensurate with age, but otherwise, excellent presentation and rich earthen deposits throughout.
