WILLIAM GRUNDY, ENGLISH GEORGE II STERLING SILVER CREAM POT / JUG, baluster-form well with a short curved spout and engraved sitting dog to side, topped by a hinged lid with finial, having carved wooden handle, raised on a round foot. Impressed to base with script "WG" maker's mark for William Grundy and three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, a crowned leopard's head city mark for London, and a "t" date mark for 1754. Total weight including handle: 10.960 ozt. Circa 1754. 6 1/2" HOA.

Condition
Excellent visual condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, a few scattered minor dents, possible repair to side at top terminal of handle, engraving mostly worn.
