Description
ENGLISH GEORGIAN HERON PICTURE-BACK STERLING SILVER TEASPOONS, SET OF SIX, each with an oval bowl on a Hanoverian handle, bowl-back featuring a die-struck image of a heron in bulrushes with a snake or an eel in its beak, back of handle tip engraved with "B / I M" initials. Each impressed to back of handle with an "N [pellet] H" maker's mark attributed to Nicholas Hearnden of London and a lion passant hallmark for sterling fineness. Total weight: 2.440 ozt. Circa 1757-1765. 4 7/8" LOA.

Condition
Very good to excellent overall condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, slight worn spots to images, a few spoons with one or two small dents to bowls and/or slight bending to handle.
