Description
STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC DRINKING AND TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, each having dark blue transfer, comprising a square covered vegetable dish featuring "DORNEY / COURT", as printed to underside, with oak leaf and acorn border, two mugs including a large example with "ALMA / A S", as printed to underside, featuring a scene with castle, bridge, and mountains in background, and one depicting ruins with figures and animals, and two covered custard cups including one with Bridge of Lucano and one depicting white horses at ruins. Ralph Stevenson & Williams, Cobridge; Spode, Stoke-on-Trent, England; and others. First half 19th century. Vegetable 5 1/4" HOA, 9 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Three undamaged; Lucano custard having rim hairline and restoration to a rim chip/flake and two flakes/chips to cover edge; horse/ruins custard having some minute/minor flakes and chips to foot and cover.
