Description
STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC TEAPOTS, LOT OF FOUR, each having brown/sepia transfer, comprising one example with Greyhound pattern depicting two slender dogs, one example featuring "ABBEY / RUINS" #2, as printed to underside, depicting cattle with ruins and having a matching ill-fitting sugar bowl cover, one example with Palestine #4 pattern featuring a figure in a chariot, and one example depicting a domed building with minarets behind a wall with large flower accents. Marks to underside include printed lion with "T MAYER LONGPORT" below. Thomas Mayer, Longport; William Adams IV & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent, England; and others. Mid 19th century. 7 1/4" HOA.

Condition
Palestine example with hairline to shoulder with some light discoloration and some minute flakes to interior gallery, otherwise undamaged; domed building example mostly undamaged, except having some minute to minor flakes to interior gallery; Greyhound example having some areas of restoration including spout, one foot, base, and cover, some yellowing; Abbey Ruins example having some professional restoration including to end of spout, spots on rim, and flaking restoration to cover.
