Description
STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED ROMANTIC / ORIENTAL MOTIF CERAMIC PLATTERS, LOT OF TWO, each having black transfer India/Temple Warriors scenes depicting native figures with temple-like buildings, comprising one large example featuring image #7 and one smaller example with image #9. Marks to underside include printed "1" and impressed rectangular symbol. William Adams IV & Sons, Stoke, England. Second quarter 19th century. 13 1/2" x 11 1/4" and 17 3/4" x 14 5/8".

Condition
Undamaged, except larger example having some usage wear including light scattered scratches and scattered glaze wear to rim and well rim. Manufacturing flaws including larger platter with flake to rim, probably as made.
