ANTIQUE / VINTAGE OPENWORK AND FILIGREE-TYPE METAL BELT OR DRESS BUCKLES, LOT OF 17, each two-part form having brass, silver-toned, or other metal frame with openwork or filigree-type designs/accents, including a large V-shaped filigree-type buckle with two applied covered vase motifs and a cherub center, a gilt-brass/metal openwork buckle with spread-wing bird in the design, a silver-toned openwork buckle having figures within the design, a silver-toned shield-form buckle with bow-knot accents to center, a heavy brass rectangular-form buckle with figural dragon head hook for clasp, and a buckle with grape cluster center presented on a black fabric belt/sash. Shield-form buckle with bow-knot accents having mark of "ROYAL" within a shield topped by a lion probably for Royal Jewelry Mfg. Co. of New York City, NY and "PAT. AUG. 20. 1901" on clasp, remainder unmarked. Together with a silver-toned filigree-type accessories having four attached chains. 18 pieces total. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Large V-form buckle 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" OA.Â

Condition
Most in good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including worn spots/losses to metal finishes, one or some spots/areas of oxidation, some bending, and/or one to some repairs; large V-form buckle with scattered repairs and a loss to one side tip; gilt-brass/metal openwork buckle with spread-wing birds having one bar to back having one terminal broken and separated from front; one brass/brass-toned buckle with flower design and border having several breaks to filigree-type centers; smallest buckle with applied centers probably lacking bars to backs.Â
