Description

W. C. EBERT PATENTED SAFETY EXTINGUISHER KEROSENE STAND LAMP, colorless and frosted slightly tapered font with side-refill feature, interior fitted with a mesh screen for wick extension, embossed pattern with stars, panels and dots, cast-iron base with baluster-form stem and an octagonal foot, No. 2 fine-line collar. Cast-iron ring surrounding collar and encircling the refill feature, extending over the shoulder and down the font side and attaching to the top of the cast-iron stem, attached is a spring-activated rod extending to the underside of the foot. Third quarter 19th century. 10 1/4" H to top of collar, 5 1/2" DOA foot.

Condition

Excellent condition, expected wear, font with a large bubble adjacent to the refill cap, some scattered light surface rust.
