ADAMS TEMPLE / APPLESAUCE KEROSENE STAND LAMP, original molded font with molded tree-form figures in arches to shoulder, very faintly embossed on shoulder of base below the columns "PATENTED MARCH 20 1883 JULY 25 1882", period brass No. 2 collar with No. 1 adapter and shoulder plate. Fitted with a period No. 1 slip burner and colorless chimney with beaded top. Adams & Co. Pattern introduced 1883. 2 7/8" H to top of collar, 7 1/4" D foot.
Very good condition, chips, flakes/roughness to inner rim which supports font, exterior of foot with a chip. Burner deflector with light denting, chimney undamaged.
Literature: Parallels Thuro - Oil Lamps III, p. 89, fig. D.
Provenance: From the Thomas R. Golden estate collection, Wilmington, DE.

Condition

Very good condition, chips, flakes/roughness to inner rim which supports font, exterior of foot with a chip. Burner deflector with light denting, chimney undamaged.
