Description
J. F. IDEN FIGURAL STEM KEROSENE STAND LAMP, bronze finish, colorless font with rough-cut florets and punties to each pane, encased in a brass holder with Greek Key patterned top and beaded pattern windows, base interior with impressed makers name, cast-metal stem of lady holding urn and reverse with a slightly more exposed mid-section, single-step slate foot, No. 2 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising an E. Miller & Co. No. 2 lip burner, cast-brass spider-form 9 1/2" DOA J. Ives shade holder, opal conical-form shade with double ring to the top, gray ground with brilliant polychrome floral decoration and gilt decorated highlights. Non-period colorless chimney. Third quarter 19th century. 21" H to top of shade, 14 1/4" H to top of collar, 5 5/8" SQ foot. Shade 5 3/8" H, 10 1/8" D fitter.
