Wilson was a formally educated man; a Princeton undergrad (then the College of New Jersey), studied law at the University of Virginia Law School and earned his doctorate at Johns Hopkins University. Before his presidency, graduation from Princeton (then the College of New Jersey) and the University of Virginia Law School, Wilson earned his doctorate at Johns Hopkins University. Before his presidency, Wilson advanced rapidly as a young conservative professor of political science and became president of Princeton in 1902.
