A six (6) piece estate lot of Russian lacquer art boxes. Artisan made in various shapes and styles, all but one with hinged lids (and one round box with removable lid cover). Traditional designs with black lacquer exterior finishes and interiors in red lacquer. Hand painted lids with various folk art, religious, and auspicious designs, including landscapes, birds, mythical knights and figures, and other decorations. Two boxes with hand painted Cyrillic titles and signatures. One box having original MADE IN THE U.S.S.R. label to underside. Largest measures approximately 3.5" x 5.5" x 5.5". Smallest measures approximately 1" x 6.25" x 2.5".

Condition: Good overall condition having minor age related surface wear, with some evidence of craquelure. Estate fresh to the market.
