William Penn (1664-1718). A Letter from William Penn to His Wife and Children. New York: Mahlon Day, 1820. 16mo. (6 ½ x 4 in.) 12-page pamphlet. Original wrappers.
William Penn (1664-1718) was an influential English Quaker who founded the Province of Pennsylvania during the British colonial era. Penn wrote this letter to his family during his 1682 travels to America. Originally published in a larger volume entitled The Life of William Penn, this letter was extracted and converted into a pamphlet due to its popular moral advice.
A crisp example of the 1820 edition in fine condition, only minor staining.
