Jacques Lipchitz, Lithuanian, French, 1891 to 1973, a patinated bronze sculpture, Guitar Player in Armchair, after the original sculpture made in 1922. Signed with impressed, Lipchitz, on the side of the sculpture. Mounted on a rectangular shaped base. Circa; Mid 20th century. Jacques Lipchitz was a French Cubist sculptor, the artist of the Parisienne School. Lipchitz retained highly figurative and legible components in his work leading up to 1915 to 1916, after which naturalist and descriptive elements were muted, dominated by a synthetic style of Crystal Cubism.
