Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Beverly Hill, California. Vase in brown tone Sumida pottery fabrication, circa Meiji period. Country of origin: Japan.This vase has a drip glaze on the surround in tones of ebony and green. There is an applied pottery design that depicts a male child figure on the left that is crouched down, and a female child figure on the right that is winding up astone to throw. There is an applied porcelain plaque on the back that is signed in Japanese characters by the artist Hara Gozan. This vase measures 9.5 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation.
