Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Beverly Hill, California. Vase in ebony tone Sumida pottery fabrication, circa Meiji period. Country of origin: Japan.This vase has a multi-colored glaze in tones of ebony, brown, and white on the surround, which is pinched. There is an applied pottery design that depicts a male and female child figure playing with stones. There is an applied porcelain plaque on the back that is signed in Japanese characters by the artist Ishiguro Koko. This vase measures 10 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter. Provenance: Property from the Saul BrandmanFoundation.
