Description
South America, Argentina, Patagonia region, ca. millions of years old. A stunning Red Fox or Crater Agate, this large geode half is spilt and polished to show off the remarkable interior formations of a rich red hematite with in the darker agate layers. The definition of the red hematite edge against the dusky mauve agate is beautiful, and like most Red Fox Agates (or Crater Agates, since they are found near a volcano) this specimen is UV reactive! Size: 9.25" L x 6" W x 4" H (23.5 cm x 15.2 cm x 10.2 cm)
