EXTREMELY RARE GERMAN-UKRAINIAN WW2 NATIONALIST HAT with BADGE
WW2 black wool German made Ukrainian nationalist hat. Black panzer wool m43 hat made by pecuro. Size 5. Converted by adding 2 gold buttons and cockade. Worn by Ukrainian nationalists freedom fighters during and after the war against Soviet regime. Good well worn condition. This one is extra rare. From real old collection. The item is for historic museum or private collection. The item was obtained from a large old collection in Europe.

WIKIPEDIA: The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) was a Ukrainian nationalist paramilitary and later partisan army that engaged in a series of guerrilla conflicts during World War II against Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, and both Underground and Communist POLAND. The insurgent army arose out of separate militant formations of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists-Bandera faction (the OUN-B), other militant national-patriotic formations, some defectors of the Ukrainian Auxiliary Police, mobilization of local population and other. The political leadership of the army belonged to the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists-Bandera.
