A group of assorted Rock Island Railroad papers. House of Representatives Report No. 69, Rapid of the Mississippi dated April 22, 1856, has minor creasing on the cover, worn cover edges, and patina on the interior pages. Ballou's Pictorial paper from Boston dated Saturday, December 18, 1858 has the graphic of the Rock Island Railroad Bridge on the Mississippi River. The paper has golden edges and shows standard signs of age with patina and staining. The spine appears that this is a section taken out of a paper. Rock Island and Peoria Railway Lease dated June 1, 1902 has a fold down the center, bent edges, and discoloration due to age. Postal card dated 1877, voucher dated 1893, confirmation papers dated 1890 and 1897, bill dated 1903, and an ad for Solid Vestibuled Trains. Papers vary in condition and show standard signs of use for their age with patina worn edges, bent corners, and writing marks. See photos for best description.
