Poor's Manual Of Railroads dated 1878 by Henry V. Poor. Green hardbound cover with golden letters and detail with Adams Express Company 1878 East, West and South on the back cover. Book measures 9 1/4" x 6" x 3" and shows standard signs of use for its age with patina and wear. The cover shows moderate wear on the spine around the edges with parts of the material being cracked or worn off. The cover of the spine and back cover have separated from the binding and are loose but attached by the front cover. The back cover is ripped from the spine about 5". The inside of the front cover appears to be starting to separate from the spine. Interior pages have age patina around the edges with some interior pages showing writing marks, creases, tears, and worn edges. The cover has worn edges and corners with the cover of the spine almost completely detached or missing. Both covers are loose and not attached to the interior. Interior pages have separated from the binding in two bundles. Interior pages have age patina around the edges with some interior pages showing writing marks, creases, tears, and worn edges. The first few and last pages have tape and adhesive marks which also appear on the covers. The proceedings book is in fair condition with a missing cover and torn pages. The interior looks to be complete with the last page ending at 1467 which is the only loose page.
