The first containing 13 letters (3/64-8/64) to his wife from Captain George I. Robinson of Bald Mountain, Washington County, NY, 123rd NY Volunteers, XX Corps., each with its original cover, all with complete typed transcriptions, the second archive contains 8 letters (8/61-4/62) to his wife Kate from Sgt. Thomas Hatton, PA 82nd Infantry, no covers, ending just prior to his death on 7/5/62 after being wounded on 7/1 at Malvern Hill, VA, all with complete transcriptions, the third archive contains 6 letters (6/62-4/63) to his sister and father from Lt. Henry Clark of the 106th NY, no covers, all partially transcribed with additional regiment research attached.

The letters are binder contained, in varying sizes, some in multiple pages, varied subject matter, binders measures 11.5x9.5in., in generally good condition with expected wear and varying degrees of issues given age and use.

Provenance: Part of a civil war collection of a Sullivan County, NY gentleman 90 years young. The collection spans 50 years and was acquired from shows, dealers and private collections throughout the east coast and Midwest.
