A Pennsylvania faux grain painted tulip poplar blanket chest, second quarter 19th century, the molded rectangular top enclosing a dovetailed box with left covered till, raised on turned feet.

Dimensions:Height 22in; width 40in; depth 20 1/2in.

Condition

In overall good condition. Structurally sound. Typical marks, wear, scuffs, nicks and surface scratches overall. The top with shrinkage and an age crack. The top with heaviest wear to the painted decoration. The handles on either side are later.
