Ca. 1938-1292 BC. Scarab carved from light green glazed steatite decorated with naturalistic features including clypeus and prothorax. The underside is inscribed with hieroglyphs arranged vertically: sun-disc flanked by uraeus to the top, the glyph for a goddess, possibly Maat, a nefer symbol to the centre, and a hare at the bottom.Size: L:20mm / W:13.7mm ; 3.06gProvenance: From the collection of a London gentleman; formerly acquired in early 2000s; previously in 1970s UK collection.
