Fine Ancient Egyptian Steatite "Heart" Scarab, Late 18th/Early 19th Dynasty (Circa 1400-1250 BCE), with finely inscribed hieroglyphs from the Book of the Dead. With display mounting. The hieroglyphic inscription has been translated to read: "Amun-ah-Neb Say Twice, Heart of Mine. Do not stand up against me in evidence in the presence of (the) Gaurdian of the Sales thou art (the soul in) my body, Chenu". Provenance: Private Pennsylvania Estate, acquired from Antiquarium, Ltd. New York. Size: 1.5"H (4 cm).
