Description
Ca.late 19th century AD. A pair of antique American Masonic Knights Templar ceremonial swords with stainless steel blades. One has a wire-wrapped leather handle and decorated brass pommel and guard. The other sword features etched decorations on the blade. Has a wood handle, a knight head metal pommel, and a metal guard with the image of a knight as well as features the initials FCB which stands for the Pythian motto Friendship, Charity, Benevolence. Comes with a scabbard with a chased male figurine, an FCB lettering, and a decorative bottom with a lily. Condition: Very good and good, some patina and rust.Size: L:38 9/16 in., (98 cm); 1420gProvenance: Property of a Central London Gallery, acquired on the US art market.
