Description

Two engravings to include, one after Major General George Heriot (1766-1844), "La Danse Ronde, Circular Dance of the Canadians", and "Minuets of the Canadians", see Michel Lessard "Meubles Anciens du Québec, page 237, engraved by J. Stadler. Heriot was 2nd in command under de Salaberry at Chateauguay in the war of 1812. He was distinguished as an artist and author publishing the authoritative book on Canada at the time "Travels through the Canadas" in 1807. Measuring, 10" x 15" at sight (no frame).
