Description
Antique nautical chronometer in brass-detailed mahogany gimbaled box. Including winding key. Box with John Fletcher, London plaque. Numbered 3167 to clock face and box plaque. Clock face marked: "John Fletcher / Maker to the Admiralty / 148 Leadenhall St / London 3167." Box with key. Dimensions: (Box) H 7.5" x W 7" x D 7" Condition: Box with handling wear and marks consistent with age and use. Missing hands for clock face. Untested; movement not professionally inspected. Some tarnish and corrosion to brass. Small chips to rim of crystal. Wear consistent with age and use.
