Description

Rare large mantel clock with Crane's patented year-going torsion pendulum and walking escapement movement, featuring an ebonized wood case in the Neoclassical style, with gilt brass mounts and etched frosted glass door panel. Interior label reads "Crane's Patent Twelve Month Clocks / Manufactured by The Year Clock Co. [...]" with instructions listed below. Appears to be missing original pendulum Dimensions: H 21.25" x W 12.25" x D 7.5" Condition: Not tested; movement not professionally inspected. wood trim on door detached; glass loose. Light crazing and a few rubs to clock face. Gilt mounts with rubbing and patina/tarnish. Wood case with a few old nicks, dings and rubs.
