UTAGAWA YOSHITORA (JAPANESE, ACTIVE C. 1836-1887) BATTLE SCENE WOODBLOCK PRINT TRIPTYCH, a battle scene at the banks of the Uji River, showing soldiers with swords and shields in the foreground and archers shooting arrows in the background, mountains overlook the scene in the distance, original receipt gives the title of "Lord Sato Kiyomasa fighting with monsters at deep mt. Shikoku". Each with artist's signature within a gourd cartouche, a Sanoya Kihei (Kikakudo) publisher seal, and censer seal marks. Conservation mounted under glass in a modern frame. Mid 19th century. Each print 9 1/2" x 14 1/4" sight, 38 1/4" x 20 7/8" OA.

Condition
Very good visual condition with some toning, spots of discoloration, and scattered holes mostly small in size, frame with minor wear. Not examined out of frame.
