East Asia, China, Late Ming to Qing Dynasty, ca. 17th to 19th century CE. A beautiful collection of 6 porcelain teacups made for export from China. Each vessel is hand-painted upon ivory white glazes with famille rose hues of pink, green, red, orange, and classic blue on white and include floral and abstract motifs as well as landscapes with gardens and buildings. Porcelain like these were probably created for export to Southeastern Asia and later to Europe, where people had a strong interest in these lovely Chinese styles. Size of largest: 3.25" Diameter x 2" H (8.3 cm x 5.1 cm)
Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010

Condition
Stable hair line fissure and chips to rim on largest blue on white cup. Stable fissure on cup w/ handle and chips to rim and National Philippines Museum registration stamp on interior. Minor nicks and surface pitting to the rest.
