A Pre Columbian Panamanian or Costa Rican polychrome figural dual-handled pottery vessel, produced circa 11th Century to 15th Century (1000 to 1400 C.E./A.D.) Primitive tribal vessel design made of red clay ceramic material and adorned with intricate polychrome designs. Geometric patterns and abstract forms in black, red, and cream, created using a slip-painting technique, with a thin layer of colored clay applied to the vessel's surface before firing. The most striking feature of this vessel is its figural dual handles, which are shaped like two standing figures with tails, a design found among the indigenous cultures that inhabited Panama and Costa Rica in antiquity.
