Walter Addison, New York, 1914-1982. A framed charcoal drawing of a llamas, signed Walter Addison, circa 1940-50 during his tenure as the lead artist of the Bronx Zoo. Very good condition. Sight size 12 1/4" x 14 1/4" and total frame size 20 1/4" x 22 1/4". Provenance: Consigned by family. All artwork was found in his cottage in Washington Depot, Connecticut, on the banks of the Shepaug River, where he lived with his wife Rhoda from 1965 until his death in 1982.
