Description
Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Beverly Hill, California. Vase in red tone Sumida pottery fabrication, circa Meiji period. Country of origin: Japan. This vase has an ebony and cobalt blue tone glaze onthe surround. There is an applied pottery design of a dragon wrapped around the body. There is an applied porcelain plaque on the back that is signed in Japanese characters, most likely by the artist Hara Gozan. This vase measures 15.75inches tall by 6.25 inches in diameter.
