Description
A mid-20th century Chinese white porcelain vase with crackle glaze. Mao Zedong era, Culturual Revolution period, 1966 to 1976. A rounded vase with pronounced base and neck. The front side of the vase depicts Mao Zedong. The backside and the lateral sides are covered with Mao Zedongs quotes and Communist mottos in Chinese, as well as symbols of the Communist party. Hallmark Jiangxi Province, 1968 in Chinese on the bottom. Mao Zedong, 1893 to 1976, was a communist revolutionary and the founder of the Peoples Republic of China. The Cultural Revolution was an upheaval launched by Mao Zedong during his last decade in power to renew the spirit of the Chinese Revolution.
