Description
A mid-20th century Chinese white porcelain vase with crackle glaze. Mao Zedong era, Sino-Soviet split period, 1959 to 1966. The vase is oval at the base. The front side of the vase depicts Mao Zedong with Lin Bao. The front and back sides are covered with Mao Zedongs quotes and Communist mottos in Chinese. Hallmark 1959 in Chinese on the bottom. Mao Zedong, 1893 to 1976, was a communist revolutionary and the founder of the Peoples Republic of China. Lin Biao, 1907 to 1971, was a Chinese politician and Marshal of the People's Republic of China. The Sino-Soviet split was the breaking of political relations between the People's Republic of China and the Soviet Union after the death of Josef Stalin.
